Consignment
What we buy - We are happy to take clothing, shoes, bags and accessories that are in-style and in-season, preferably no more than three years old, freshly laundered and in near perfect condition. We cannot clean or fix any items, so please keep this in mind when consigning. The better it looks, the better it will sell!
Appointments - We are currently booking consignment appointments about 3 to 4 weeks in advance. If you are consigning for the first time or want to be present for your appointment, we are available Monday through Wednesday from 10:30 to 1:30. If you are a returning customer and wish to drop off, you can call for a drop-off appointment available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Saturdays from 3:00 until 5:00. If you can, please limit your drop-off items to approximately 25 pieces per category (women’s, children’s, maternity). We will give you a contract to fill out at drop off or at your appointment.
How it works - The consignment period begins when we put merchandise out (usually about 1 week) and continues for 9 weeks. After processing your items, we’ll give you a call if there are items to pick up and you have indicated that you do not wish to donate them. Unfortunately due to limited space, any items that we can’t accept must be picked up within 1 week (please call if this is a problem) or we will donate them for you.
Pink Dolly keeps items for 9 weeks and consignors receive 40% of the final selling price (we do automatic markdowns) for women’s and maternity items and 50% for children’s items. If you want, you can choose store credit, and get a 15% discount applied to purchases when using the credit!
Checks are cut at the beginning of the month after the contract expires. If items do not sell by the end of the contract period, consignors have one week to reclaim these items, or you can choose to have them donated.
We price your items at the shop since we have a good idea what will sell and have experience pricing. We try very hard to keep current on what items retail for and generally charge 1/3 to 1/4 of retail depending on age, condition and style of each item.
We do not sell any vintage, furs or character-themed children’s items.
